National Apprentice Week
What’s your name?
What’s your job title?
Social Media Executive.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I like the atmosphere at Denfield – the feeling of being part of the team and surrounded by a group of awesome individuals, plus having the freedom to challenge anything knowing it won’t be taken the wrong way. Friday Feeling is wicked too!
Where do you see yourself in five years’ time?
Hopefully still at Denfield! I’d like to think higher up the ladder too.
Is there something you have learnt that you didn’t know before you started?
Loads! I had no idea what working in an agency would be like and I have learnt so much from everyone across all the different departments.
Do you have any valuable tips that you would give a future apprentice?
Stick at it, don’t be afraid to chuck in ideas – silly or not – and challenge anything that you feel could be done better. You’d be surprised at how much you can lend a helping hand to!
What have you found most difficult and how have you overcome it?
Timekeeping was a big one for me, and in the early stages I found I was always struggling with deadlines. Now, after developing my skills, I’ve found it easier to pace projects and always deliver on the day.
If you hadn’t decided on an apprenticeship, what would you have done?
I still don’t think playing for Manchester United is a stretch too far, and after scoring four goals on my Denfield Football Night debut, I still reckon I could challenge Ibra for a starting spot.
